the Mimpi Resort Menjangan Bali


Hidden away on Bali's north coast, just opposite Menjangan Island and next to Bali Barat National Park, is Mimpi's newest dive resort and spa, the Mimpi Resort Menjangan.

Mimpi Menjangan, Bali, soft-opened in December 1998, is located in North Bali on Banyuwedang Bay accross from one of the best known diving spots in BALI - Menjangan Island.

Away from Bali's tourist centers, Mimpi offers unforgottable holiday experience with its diving facilities, unique Balinese villas, and abundant natural hot spring. Truly, one-of-a-kind hideway resort in Bali.

All of Mimpi Resort Menjangan's 24 courtyard villas feature their own hot tub from the local thermal spring. A large hot water pool in landscaped gardens caters to the guests of the 30 patio rooms. Furthermore, the Mimpi Resort Menjangan offers a seaside restaurant, as well as a bar and a meeting room, making it the perfect venue for small corporate meetings and incentives.

Adventurous travelers can participate in a wide array of sports activities. In addition to diving, the Mimpi Resort Menjangan is the ideal setting for canoeing and fishing. 30 Patio Rooms are landscaped facing lush greenery of a tropical garden. Each room features a large verandah with comfortable cuisines for a convenient relaxing, chatting or gathering. Bathroom is open with small garden allowing more contacts with nature whilst showering. Room is cool with marble floor, high wooden ceiling and furniture. A natural hot spring pool is provided in the garden in front of the patio rooms for outdoor communal bathing.

ROOM TYPES

Patio Rooms :
The villas reveal a unique traditional concept of a Balinese house. Entrance to each villa is private with thatched-roof gate ensuring a complete privacy. The villa's courtyard is walled with its own tropical garden and traditional “ bale bengong ” gazebo for relaxing. A natural stone tub is featured as part of the gazebo area for a private natural hot spring bathing.

Courtyard Villas :
The villa bedroom is detailed with traditional ambiences - cool marble floor, spacious thatched-roof ceiling and natural wooden furniture. The bathroom features wooden sink table and open shower walled by natural stone. A small wooden door is uniquely attached connecting the shower ground to the courtyard garden to allow direct access from the garden to the shower. Six of the 24 courtyard villas feature their own private plunge pool built from natural blue stone. The grand villas have wooden deck with an outdoor dining table overlooking a hidden lagoon in the shadow of a natural park.

HOTEL FACILITIES

Restaurant & Bar :
A half-floating restaurant is beautifully set up right at the water edge of the bay. View overlooks a waveless lagoon-like bay surrounded by lush mangrove vegetation and untouched monsoon forest. A string of East Java mountains with its peak Mount Ijen can be easily viewed from its wooden deck painting silky sillouhuete during the sunset hours. Food, service, presentation and setting in Sunset Restaurant is all flawless.

The restaurant floats on the quiet waters of the bay and opens up to changing colors of the evening skies.

Embraced in cool evening breezes, you can enjoy your dinner and conversation in peace and tranquillity with your friends and loved ones, unaware of the hours.

Dive Center :
A fully-maintained PADI Dive Center is available on site to cater both beginner and experienced divers. Safety and easy diving begins with well-trained and attentive staffs and professionals as well as well-maintained equipments and standards. Daily boat dive arrangement is made to go to the famous Menjangan island. Boat is arranged to depart at 09:00 am after breakfast directly from the resort's beach. It will approximately take 30 minutes to the island. For two dives, arrival back to the resort is approximately 2:30 pm so that an ample of time is still available to enjoy the resort. Soaking in the hot spring after diving is our unique privilege. Secret Bay or Mimpi Channel just across the resort bay can be easily explored from the resort. For non-divers but watersport enthusiasts, snorkeling, canoeing or sea-biking is an ideal option.

Swimming Pool :
The swimming pool offers a magnificent panorama of the bay and the skies over West Bali and East Java. Out of the water, sit back and indulge in your daydream.

Meeting :
The resort's Samudera Room located in the upper level of the patio complex is an ideal venue for a small meeting or gathering. With high thatched-roof ceiling and cool marble floor, the room is set 75 square meters in size to overlook tropical landscaped garden and a natural bay. Depending on the style of the meeting, the room could accommodate between 30 (U-shape) to 60 (theatre style) participants.

Six treatments are carefully selected to rejuvenate body and soul after an active day. Some of the treatments are well practiced using the resort's natural thermal hot spring water which has been evidenced to render good effects on health. Try the traditional or aromatherapy massage, lulur scrub body or take the two-hour spa combination mixing massage and facial treatment. All are attended by well-trained therapists and natural ingredients.

Aromatherapy Massage (90 minutes) - US$ 30.00
The relaxing massage that combine Swedish, Shiatsu, Indonesian and acupressure techniques and finished with a soothing mini face massage. This massage is developed to allow you to have total relaxation, and finished with lemon body wash.

Traditional Massage (60 minutes) - US$ 25.00
The relaxing Indonesian style of massage that combines stretching acupressure and palm pressure massage and finished with lemon body wash.

Traditional Facial (60 minutes) - US$ 25.00
Facial massage with light aromatic lavender and vitamin E oil, followed with traditional facial scrubs made of rice flour and cananga, followed with firming collagen-clay mask, finished with AHA green tea toner. This facial tradition has been practices through centuries to keep your face fresh and healthy.

Lulur Body Scrub (120 minutes) - US$ 40.00
This treatment started with traditional massage and followed with body scrub that is made of turmeric, rice flour, sandalwood and different spices to exfoliate dead skin, add the glow and smooth the skin, followed with body conditioning and aromatic bath.

Rempah and Honey Body Mask (120 minutes) - US$ 40.00
A serial treatment started with traditional massage and followed with body mask that is made of honey, clay, flowers, and roots which contains natural collagen to firm the skin and body followed with body conditioning and aromatic bath.

Spa Combination (120 minutes) - US$ 35.00
A combination of traditional massage and traditional facial.
