Or perhaps view the nightly parade into Pasar Sanggol of exotically costumed dancers and drummers from the adjacent villages while sipping cocktails at the popular rooftop bar. The Salsa Bar is available for cocktail parties of up to 150 people.

Pesona Lounge : It is not by accident that Grand Hyatt Bali chose the Indonesian word pesona for its Lobby Lounge - the word means 'hypnotic and enchanting', and that's exactly what it is. Pesona Lounge offers an enthralling combination of sweeping ocean panoramas, captivating views of the resort's impressive Lobby and live music. It is a favourite place for guests to gather before moving on to other destinations or to stay for the views, music and light refreshments.

This superb and elaborate Balinese-style room offers all the modern facilities needed for high-quality presentations and features a large stage complete with audio-visual equipment. The Ballroom can be divided into three separate function rooms to hold smaller events.

Welcome to Paradise : Pasar Senggol, Grand Hyatt's Balinese village within the resort, comes alive as the food, culture and music of this paradise island unfold before guests in a warm welcome evening. Candlelit tables, under a clear night sky, are showcased by traditional festival decorations while an exotic mix of classical Balinese music and dance takes shape on a colourful centre stage. The magical courtyard theatre is flanked on all sides by food stalls serving Indonesian, Thai, Balinese, Italian and continental cuisine.

Rijsttafel Feast : Dutch plantation owners once enjoyed the lavish splendour of the rijsttafel dinner - today, Grand Hyatt Bali re-enacts the memory of Indonesia's celebrated colonial past in an elaborate dining experience. Guests are greeted by the music of a small bamboo orchestra while waiters, dressed in Indonesian costumes, help set the scene. When all are seated, the dramatic local music starts, and a stunning array of delicious specialities appears on large platters carried by a troop of colourfully costumed maidens. Literally 'rice table', rijstaffel cuisine offers a selection of beef, chicken, duck, pork and fish, all served with traditional accompaniments.

Balinese Beach Party : A torch-lit beach party beneath a tropical night sky, strolling Batak singers and the aroma of chargrilled meats and seafood... the Balinese Beach Party is a perennial favourite among our wide-ranging theme parties. Set just feet from the clear Indian Ocean, the white sandy beach becomes an arena of Balinese masks, flags, fishing nets, boats and sails as the sound of waves mixes with the salty ocean breeze. A corridor of Balinese oil lanterns sets the mood for an evening that evokes wistful memories of Bali's balmy nights, long after the party is over.

Evolution of Bali : Guests are taken on a magical journey through Bali's celebrated past and into the present day. The dream begins at Grand Hyatt Bali's main pool, with cocktails served to the harmonious sounds of the gamelan. Guests then proceed along a torch-lit path of colourfully costumed characters to a petal-strewn reception on an adjacent peninsula. Greeted by a crescendo of booming bamboo jegog instruments and the sights and sounds of a Balinese village, visitors are drawn into the mystical world of bygone Bali. A mouth-watering selection of gourmet food encircles the open-air arena as traditional dancers make way for the ogoh-ogoh, giant mythical puppets that duel for the victory of good over evil.

Jungle Safari : The Jungle Safari starts at a dark, moss-covered tunnel that leads into a spectacular rainforest recreated in Grand Hyatt's ballroom. Inside, tropical birds, caged monkeys, banana trees and lush ferns combine with primitive statues and painted backdrops of Bali's magnificent geography to turn the banquet hall into a lush jungle oasis - the lost city of Bali's primeval past. The haunting sound of bamboo and wooden drums announces the beginning of dinner as a magnificent feast enters the hall, borne on the shoulders of costumed Chefs. A mouth-watering array of spit-roasted meats and local favourites is served in pumpkins, coconuts, banana leaves and lontar baskets, before a colourful frog dance performance, or tektekan troupe, provides a stunning finale to the evening.

Back to the '60s : The fun begins with a pre-dinner cocktail party in the courtyard, or pre-function area, complete with exciting decorations including varsity flags, giant concert posters and neon lights. A Harley Davidson motorcycle will be set up for photo opportunities. As the crowd begins to work into a frenzy, Rock Around The Clock is played and the guests enter the Grand Ballroom through the 'Tunnel of Love'. Once inside, they will see a giant jukebox with flashing lights as the highlight of the stage. A four-course set menu with an American diner theme will be served. A hula-hoop and limbo dance contest will be conducted throughout the evening, and to highlight the event, a '50s / '60s dance revival will keep you on your toes and lead everyone down memory lane.

Tri-Mutri : The Grand Ballroom will be decorated with triangular-shaped ornaments on the tables and oversized triangles around the stage area. The effects are enhanced through colourful lighting. The triangle plays an important role in the life of the Balinese Hindus. It stands for the present, past and future, which are represented in the creation of life (present), protection of life (future) and re-incarnation (past / future). It also symbolises the harmony and balance of life, a belief that all Balinese share and respect. The name comes from the three most powerful gods in the Hindu religion. They are Brahma, who is believed to be the creator of life, Wisnu, who is recognised as the protector of life, and Siwa, the destroyer of erring humans, followed by their reincarnation as better beings.
